Next Level Holiday Decorating To Be Expected

Americans plan to go all out on holiday home decorations this year, much more than previous years, says a survey by Modsy, a platform to visualize home design ideas. "Many people are putting extra effort into their holiday decor this year so they can make their homes a place of joy and delight since they'll be spending so much time there this season," says  Alessandra Wood, vice-president of style at Modsy. The survey says that 31 per cent of respondents will have a COVID-themed Christmas tree or holiday décor and 59 per cent will place increased emphasis on their house’s entryway to help maintain sanitary areas. Ninety-three per cent of Americans find it important that everyone is comfy, warm, cozy, and together at their house, with special emphasis on the kitchen as the most important room to keep the holidays running smoothly. Sixty-nine per cent say their family will be spending much more time doing traditional at-home holiday activities this year and less seasonal outings.
