New Stores Boost Dollarama Sales

Dollarama Inc. had sales of $1,064.2 million for the third quarter of 2020, up 12.3 per cent year-over-year. The company says the growth can be credited to the growth of stores opened in the past 12 months. The company grew to 1,333 stores this year from 1,271 stores in November 2019. Income went up 14.1 per cent to $243.8 million for the quarter compared to the year-ago period. It says customers may have reduced the frequency of store visits, but are now purchasing larger quantities of goods at one time compared to last year.
