Homeowners Regret Some Interior Designs

Some homeowners regret their interior design upgrades and have decreased their home values as a result of overdoing their renovations, finds a survey by HomeHow. The survey says that 61 per cent of homeowners regret making their homes too ‘industrial,’ and this ‘industrial overdo’ can decrease their property value by up to 10 per cent. Another design regret is ‘shabby chic furniture,’ with 41 per cent saying they regret decorating their homes in this style. Other top interior design trends that people regret include installing a vessel sink (58 per cent regret it), open shelving (51 per cent regret it), and flora furniture (39 per cent regret it). Other design regrets include wall textures, dark coloured walls, and poorly scaled furniture.
