Small Businesses Still Suffering

More than 80 per cent of small businesses have not fully recovered from the pandemic, says the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB). A study by the organization says fewer than one in five businesses are fully recovered and businesses that have not recovered need an average of 23 months to get back to normal. “Things are starting to look much more normal on the surface, but there is still a long road ahead for many business owners who remain stressed out about the future," says Simon Gaudreault, vice-president of national research at CFIB.
