Stanley B&D Has 11 Per Cent Growth

Stanley Black & Decker had net sales of $4.3 billion in the third quarter of 2021, up 11 per cent compared to net sales in the third quarter of 2020. All segments contributed to 10 per cent organic growth led by continued strong tools demand. Operating margin for the quarter was 11.6 per cent and gross margin was 32.6 per cent, down 310 basis points from the prior-year period. The tools and storage segment sales increased 14 per cent year-over-year; the industrial segment sales increased one per cent; and the security segment sales grew five per cent. Overall net earnings were $414.2 million for the quarter compared to $394.9 million last year.
