Cornerstone Sales Reflect Commodity Costs

Cornerstone Building Brands, Inc. had net sales of $1.44 billion for the third quarter of 2021, an increase of 17.7 per cent versus net sales of $1.23 billion in the third quarter of 2020. The growth was attributed to price actions in response to rising commodity costs and other inflationary impacts. Net income for the quarter was $612.2 million versus $30 million in the year-ago period and adjusted earnings before taxes were $181.6 million, up 3.5 per cent from $175.4 million and 8.2 per cent higher that the corresponding quarter in 2019. The windows segment net sales increased 19 per cent year-over-year; the siding segment net sales increased 11.2 per cent; and the commercial segment net sales increased 21.4 per cent.
