Supply Chain Disruptions Impact Spectrum Sales

Spectrum Brands Holdings, Inc. had net sales from continuing operations of $757.8 million for the fourth quarter of 2021, a 2.8 per cent increase over sales of $736.9 million in the fourth quarter of 2020. Combined sales including its hardware and home improvement (HHI) segment were $1.16 billion. Spectrum is currently in the process of divesting its HHI business to ASSA ABLOY. Sales for the home and personal care segment were up seven per cent year-over-year and sales in the home and garden segment were down 11.4 per cent. The company says the decrease in shipping days as well as the ongoing pandemic-related global supply chain disruptions adversely impacted sales in the quarter.
