Consumers Want Deals This Spring

As supply chain issues continue and economic uncertainty remains, consumers are looking for deals as they shop for products they need this spring, says the ‘2022 Spring Trends Survey’ by Inmar Intelligence. The survey says that 73 per cent of shoppers would consider purchasing more of a product than they need this spring if they had a coupon for a higher quantity. Lawn and garden continue to be the leading category to see a substantial category sales lift (219 per cent) during pre-spring season. Insect and rodent repellent are expected to see a 436 per cent increase this spring and grill accessories will see a 75 per cent lift. “In order to avoid missing out on spring buying trends, brands and retailers will need to be proactive and targeted in communicating with consumers about availability and incentives for the products that drive strong seasonal sales,” says Spencer Baird, executive vice-president, Inmar and president of Inmar’s Martech division.
