Cornerstone Has Strong First Quarter

Cornerstone Building Brands, Inc. had net sales of $1,566.8 million for the first quarter of 2022, an increase of 23.7 per cent compared to net sales in the first quarter of 2021. The growth was primarily driven by favourable price actions across all segments in response to rising commodity costs and other inflationary impacts. Net income was $101.5 million compared to a loss of $1.7 million in the year-ago period and adjusted earnings before taxes increased 41.5 per cent to $139.9 million. Sales for the window segment were up 33.2 per cent; sales for the siding segment was up 5.2 per cent; and sales for the commercial segment increased 25.6 per cent.
