Ukraine Wants Canadian Business

People who want to support Ukraine while it is at war with Russia can do so by supporting its businesses. “It is important to provide humanitarian and military aid to Ukraine right now, but it is also important to support its economy to help it fight on the economic front,” says Olha Mandyuk, director of business development with the Canada-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce (CUCC). The CUCC had a booth at the Retail Council of Canada’s ‘STORE’ event held in Toronto, ON, May 31 to June 1 to show retailers how they can support the war-affected country. Mandyuk says the IT sector in Ukraine is very strong and businesses are looking to expand into the Canadian market. They can provide retail software solutions such as supply chain management, analytics, data analysis, and software and app development. They specialize in areas such as eCommerce, SEO (search engine optimization), field service management, 3D advertising, educational platforms, and demand forecast and planning. These entrepreneurs, who can’t leave their country due to the war, are actively seeking remote opportunities to keep their economy going. “Any support is appreciated,” says Mandyuk. “Even small projects would really help them survive at this moment.”
