Canadians Prefer Small Business

Many consumers (86 per cent) say supporting small businesses is important to them, says a public opinion poll completed by Maru/Matchbox for the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB). Sixty-six per cent of respondents say they make an effort to buy from small businesses rather than ordering from large online retailers. Supporting their community (56 per cent), helping small businesses succeed (50 per cent), and friendliness from the owner/staff (46 per cent), are some of the top reasons Canadians are choosing to shop with small businesses.
