Canadian Home Sales Down Again

National homes sales fell by 5.6 per cent on a month-over-month basis in June, says the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA). Sales were down in three-quarters of all local markets led by Canada’s biggest cities ‒ the Greater Toronto, ON, Area (GTA); Greater Vancouver, BC; and Calgary and Edmonton, AB. The number of newly-listed homes climbed 4.1 per cent on a month-over-month basis in June, mostly influenced by a jump in new supply in Montreal, QC.
