Canadians Staying Away From Big Purchases

Three quarters of Canadians (75 per cent) say they are currently not looking to make a major purchase with inflation rates reaching highs not seen in decades, says a report from Angus Reid Institute. This is an increase from 2020, where 56 per cent of respondents said the same. On top of this, 28 per cent say they are either barely keeping their head above water financially or worse, a figure that has climbed 10 points since 2020.
