Cabinet Industry Sales Grow

Cabinet manufacturers had overall cabinet sales of $225.7 million in January 2023, an increase of 6.5 per cent compared to sales of $211.9 million for the same month in 2022, says KCMA's Trend of Business survey. By segment, custom sales were $65.2 million for the reporting period, a rise of 23.3 per cent versus $53.3 million in custom sales from the prior-year period. Semi-custom sales also showed a marked improvement at $124.1 million, a 13.2 per cent jump from the year-ago period when $109.6 million in sales was reported. However, stock sales dropped from $49.1 million to $36.5 million, a decline of 25.6 per cent. Cabinet quantity of sales fell to 577,643 from 674,605, a loss of 14.4 per cent.
