BP Canada has launched a multi-toned pale grey shingle called Morning Mist as part of its Mystique Collection. The shingles consist of a mixture of grey, white, and brown.
DEWALT has added the ATOMIC 20V MAX Brushless Cordless ½-inch Drill/Driver and ATOMIC 20V MAX Brushless Cordless ½-inch Hammer Drill to its ATOMIC Compact Series line-up of tools. This is the shortest drill/driver and hammer drill in the manufacturer’s portfolio. The drill/driver features 404 units watts out (UWO) and 1,650 revolutions per minute (RPM) while the hammer drill offers 552 UWO and 1,650 RPM.
Klein Tools’ Winter Thermal Gloves are constructed with Thinsulate lining and stretch knit fabric for warmth and flexibility. They feature a water-resistant liner with EVA foam padding and synthetic leather on the palm. They are machine washable.
LG Electronics (LG) now offers a new colour for its LED colour-changing panel refrigerator with MoodUP – the Pantone Colour of the Year 2023 ‒ Viva Magenta. With the LG ThinQ app, users can choose a colour option for the upper door panels in the traditional fridge while owners of the four-door French-door model can mix and match the door panels with up to 190,000 possible colour combinations.
Liteline has launched the SHADE Mini, a 13-watt, six-inch round downlight for retrofit application onto existing six-inch recessed housings or a 3.5- to four-inch octagon box. The fixture is wet location rated and has a colour temperature switch. It features an airtight aluminum body and finish variations for the body and trim.
Moen has added to its Smart Water Network, which enables homeowners to monitor and control the water inside of their home and, now, with the addition of Moen's Smart Sprinkler Controller and compatible Smart Wireless Soil Sensors, they can connect their lawn irrigation system to monitor their water for more control, automation, and conservation with the Smart Water App.
Trex has added four nature-inspired colours to its Transcend Lineage Line. The line builds upon the Trex Transcend decking line with the same features and benefits but with a more natural appearance. The additional colours include Carmel, a creamy taupe; Jasper, a deep shade of mocha; Biscayne, a light coastal brown; and Rainer, a mountain grey.
Yoshino Technology’s solid-state technology (SST) solar generator adaptable battery in a portable power station is ideal for home improvement professionals for remote worksites and off-grid use. SST batteries charge quickly – up to 80 per cent capacity in under an hour. The portable power stations can be recharged using both AC and DC inputs, portable solar panels, and USB-C on supported models.
DEWALT’s 20V MAX XR ¼inch, three-speed Impact Driver features 1,825 inch-pounds of max torque and 3,400 RPM (revolutions per minute) with no load. It has a brushless motor and is ideal for applications that demand power and efficiency. It offers three speed modes, a variable speed trigger, a forward/reverse switch, and an ergonomic grip.
Klein Tools’ 12-inch Electrician’s Combination Square is constructed with 45- and 90-degree edges to set a miter saw or table saw to a perfect angle. It features an aluminum body and a 12-inch, double-sided, rustproof, stainless steel ruler. It also has a bubble vial window with reinforced housing.
Kohler Co.’s lineup of smart products include the Anthem Smart Showering valves and controls, the Statement VES (Variable Eco-Spray) showerhead and hand shower, the H2Wise Smart Water Monitoring Systems, and the Eir Smart Toilet.
Laminam, a natural surface producer, has launched its 2023 colours. The colours include Le Terre Series, part of the IN-SIDE Collection; Talco & Graphite, part of the Fokos Collection; and Terracotta, part of the Calce Collection.
Makita's 40V max XGT X-Lock Angle Grinder has a slide switch with variable speed, soft start, constant speed control, and anti-restart. It features active feedback sensing technology (AFT) that automatically shuts down the tool if there is a sudden drop in rotation speed (e.g. kick-back). Additionally, the auto-start wireless system (AWS) uses Bluetooth technology for wireless control.
Simpson Strong-Tie has added the Titen HD heavy-duty mechanically galvanized screw anchor to its Titen HD line. The screw anchor provides high anchoring strength for cracked and uncracked concrete and masonry, sill plates, ledgers, post bases, and seating. It can be used for bracing, formwork, and to move fixtures after installation.
Trex has launched Trex Signature decking, a wood plastic composite (WPC) product that is crafted with the look of interior hardwood, but engineered to withstand the elements and demands of the outdoors. The decking is made from recycled and reclaimed materials.
